Stage OneStage One

Summer Theatre Program for Youth

STAGE ONE is an introduction to the art and fun of theatre. During the three weeks, students write, direct, cast, rehearse, build sets, make props, come up with costumes, and design lights and sound for their orginal plays. The adult staff provides the guidance, support, and education for them to succeed in their efforts.

This is a total hands-on experience allowing students to be creative both on and off stage. Included in the curriculum are improv exercises, stage combat and safety training, and a day acting and recording an audio drama.

What would a theater workshop be without a performance? The students bring you their completed work on the last two days of the workshop.

DON’T MISS OUT! Class size is limited.

Stage One 2014 will run from July 7 through July 25.

Stage One is open to ages 10 to 15. Classes are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

All classes are held at Masquers Playhouse, 105 Park Place, Point Richmond. The class is limited to 25 attendees.
