All seating is general admission. Admission to all productions is $25. Evening performances start at 8 PM and Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM unless otherwise specified. The box office opens 30 minutes before the curtain.
Unpaid reservations (vouchers, etc.) are held until 10 minutes before curtain, after which time they are subject to cancellation. Holders of pre-paid tickets who arrive late will be seated at our discretion.
Go to our calendar page for dates of all performances.
We accept cash, checks or credit cards at the box office. The doors and the box office open one half-hour before the show begins. Although it is sometimes possible to get in without a reservation, reservations are strongly encouraged. Our productions are often sold out. In that case, you can call and leave a message on the reservations line, and you will be informed if an opening comes up.
For reasons of copyright protection, and in order to avoid distraction to our patrons and the actors, photography or recording of any kind are strictly prohibited during performances.
All reservations must be prepaid, either by using a credit card or by mailing a check to the theater: Masquers Playhouse, Inc., P. O. Box 71037, Richmond, CA 94807
Checks should be mailed by the Monday preceding the performance. All sales are final.
During the run of each production, a certain number of Thursday nights are set aside as “benefit nights”. An organization or group can buy out the house for that performance. That is, the group pays a flat fee for reserving all 88 seats. The group will dine at the Hotel Mac, just across the street from the theater, before the show. If you are interested in buying out a Thursday night performance, please call the theater office at (510) 232-3888 and leave a message for our office volunteers.
Please note: Thursday night benefits are private functions and tickets are not available to the general public.
For Envision productions, reservations can be made online or by calling our box office at (510) 232-4031. Admission for plays in the Envision series is $10.00. Our regular-season subscribers are admitted to Envision performances at no charge, by making a reservation and showing their season tickets at the box office.
Season tickets are available starting in late September or early October of the current year, for the upcoming annual season. Tickets are paid in advance. It is the responsibility of the patron to call in advance for seating reservations.
Tickets for all of our regular season shows are available online. Clients are charged a small fee. Season tickets or tickets for feature performances such as Envision shows or seasonal functions and fundraisers are not available online. All sales are final.
Tickets can be ordered through our reservations line at 510.232.4031. Patrons are asked to pay for their tickets in advance. All sales are final. Tickets can be paid by credit card (Visa and MasterCard only) or a check can be mailed to our Post Office box.
Complimentary vouchers are given to participants in all the productions and to members of the public at the discretion of the theater board or administrative staff. Patrons with vouchers are responsible for calling in advance for seating reservations.
Masquers members are responsible for calling in advance to make seating reservations. In the event of a sold out house, members may be asked to give up their seats for paying patrons. (Paying patrons: Those paying with cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, paid online, and pre-paid season ticket holders.) Members of Masquers may attend a performance more than once. Masquers membership privileges do not apply to seasonal functions or fundraisers.
The following are subject to forfeit for theatergoers who have not checked in with the box office as of ten minutes before curtain:
- Seats not paid for in advance
- Seats reserved with vouchers
- Seats reserved by Masquers members
- Season ticket holders
At our discretion, these seats may be forfeited to season ticket holders or to other paying patrons. Pre-sold tickets will not be resold, however.
Patrons who arrive at the theater after curtain time will be seated at our discretion to reduce disturbance to other patrons at the performance.
Groups of 10 or more may purchase tickets for a discounted group rate by calling our reservations line only. All sales must be pre-paid and all sales are final.
Groups looking for fundraising opportunities should leave a message for our benefit coordinator at 510.232.3888 or e-mail email@example.com.
