DiPietro, who also wrote the book and lyrics to "I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change," brings a measure of personal experience to this story of intergenerational relationships. Born in New Jersey in 1960, DiPietro has kept the action of the play fictional while using his real grandparents as source material for his characters.
Director Echavez says, “If you have family, you will definitely relate to this one, no matter what your background. It’s a funny and sweet story about appreciating and loving your family no matter how different they are, for you never know, they could be gone tomorrow.”
