by Caroline Smith directed by Robert Taylor Dolly Biddle (Ellen Brooks) and Isobel Lomax (Dayle Farina) were childhood friends — practically sisters — but their relationship fractured on the rocks of a love triangle. Isobel took wing to France to study cooking at one of the finest schools while Dolly remained behind to sling hash in a local diner. Isobel returned and both women have competing cable access cooking shows. As the play opens, Dolly’s show is being cancelled just one week after Isobel’s show also got the axe. When Isobel storms onto the set during Dolly’s last show, these two ladies bring new meaning to the phrase food fight. And worst of all — the audience loves it! The two are hired to do a new show together, “The Kitchen Witches,” where every recipe is seasoned with a pinch of salt … and an armload of mayhem! Can these two rivals work side-by-side without killing each other or will the secret ingredient of every recipe be blood? |
