"Do I Hear A Waltz" is a lovely 1960s musical with book by Arthur Laurents (who adapted his own play, “The Time Of The Cuckoo”) and music and lyrics by Richard Rodgers and Steven Sondheim. The story tells us about a spinster school teacher spending her summer vacation by taking her first trip to Venice. There is romantic and flavorful Italian atmosphere aplenty with gondolas, canals, love in the air and a very enjoyable score to keep us singing along. The original play was turned into the classic David Lean movie called "Summertime", which starred Katharine Hepburn.
