About the Masquers

The Masquers is a community theatre in Point Richmond, CA, on the East shore of the San Francisco Bay. We are a nonprofit corporation, and have been producing plays and musicals of the highest calibre for over 50 years.

Our Mission Statement:
The Masquers Playhouse, Inc., is a volunteer, non-profit, community theatre that produces and stages affordable plays and other live theatrical events for the entertainment and cultural enhancement of the greater Bay Area. It provides a creative outlet for amateur theatre people, exercises sound financial management, encourages audience participation and involvement, and seeks to foster a strong community identity.
To read about the people and productions in our first half-century of entertainment, go to our Online Archive.

For information about our productions from 2005 onward, go to our Past Productions Page.

Every year we have a main season of five productions, two of which are musicals. Our productions run for about six weeks (seven weeks for musicals), with performances on Friday and Saturday evenings, and some Sunday matinees.

Tickets may be purchased online as well as by phone. Go to our Ticket Information page for details!

Since 1995, we have offered less mainstream productions in a program we call Envision. The purpose of Envision is to stage plays that would not normally be part of our main season, for one reason or another.

The theatre can be reached by phone at (510) 232-3888. Send email to info@masquers.org
