Performance Dates
Friday, Saturday evenings 8pm and Sunday Matinees 2pm and some Thursdays from Nov 15, 2024 – Dec 8th, 2024 (with a very small possibility of an extension to Dec 15th)
Audition Requirements:
Cold read from script. No monologue required. Non-AEA /if cast a modest personal expense reimbursement is offered.
Audition Sides, Character Summary, Audition Form, Conflict Calendar and a detailed Show Description will be emailed after your sign-up is completed. Auditions are in person in small groups. Whatever COVID requirements are in effect at the time of the auditions will be followed.

Character Descriptions
RICHARD HANNAY: (Age range early 30’s to late 50’s, male – identifying) “Pencil
moustache.” “An attractive man, not too young and not too old…relatively ordinary…
thinks of himself as commonplace…is drawn in against his better judgment into a
mystery he vaguely understands…”
Dialects: A Canadian with precise diction, not necessarily an English accent. The role
requires stamina, physical comedy skills and excellent comic timing.
ANNABELLE, MARGARET, PAMELA: (Age Range 25 to 40’s, female – identifying) All
roles played by one woman: a ”beautiful…nervous…seductive” German spy; a
Scottish farmer’s wife; and a “beautiful”. British woman. The role requires
versatility, stamina, excellent comic timing, and the romantic style of a Hitchcock
leading lady.
Dialects: A wide variety including English, German and Scottish
CLOWN 1 & CLOWN 2: (Age Range: 20’s and up, male or female – identifying)
DON’T BE MISLED BY THE NAMES OF THESE CHARACTERS. THEY ARE THE
HEART OF THIS SHOW. The 2 CLOWNS, in the English Music Hall tradition, play
over 30 characters between them; changing characters frequently, sometimes
within seconds, using costumes and props from the simple to more detailed. The
roles require versatility; stamina to perform fast-paced verbal and physical
comedy; excellent comic timing and extreme focus.
Dialects: A wide variety of English, German, Scottish
Demonstration of character dialects will be required at auditions
