As you will recall, our construction project has three major benchmarks:
- Pouring concrete — COMPLETED IN MAY
- Installing the new beam — DELIVERED and ready to be installed!
- Remodeling the bathrooms and lobby — ON GOING
Nearly 5,000 pounds of steel, in five pieces between 20 and 30 feet long, was delivered to the theater on June 30 and July 1. Over the next few weeks, Overaa will install the beam. Once the beam is in place, it is just a matter of drywall, paint, and all the finishing touches. We are getting close! It is very exciting!

CC By ND We are excited for The Masquers Playhouse to have reached a major milestone in its journey to reopening! Today, an 880 pound steel support beam was installed that will contribute to the repairs to the historic theater, allowing it to re-open for performances (when permitted by modifications to state and county stay-at-home orders).
