“You can dream, create, design, and build the most wonderful place in the world.
But it requires people to make the dream a reality.” –Walt Disney
The dream is becoming a reality thanks to the people at Overaa Construction and Interactive Resources. Overaa is now on the job of restoring our theater full-time, and Interactive Resources has finished rebuilding the back deck and stairs, part of their generous support to the project. As with any big project, there will surely be a few glitches and small setbacks, but the speed and urgency with which Overaa is working is very encouraging!

Volunteer designer Jerri Doss has been hard at work with plans on the lobby redesign. She presented her plans that include new colors, a piano “bar” to honor Pat King, bead board and crown molding accents, sound dampening drapes, custom art installations, and new lobby benches. The photo to the left is of a deconstructed baby grand piano that is being re-purposed into an elegant display case that will be featured in the renewed lobby space. The Theater Administrative Staff (TAS) and our Board of Directors are thrilled with her plans.
It’s an exciting time and seeing work being done just makes it that much more thrilling. But please, resist the urge to enter the building to have a look-see. It’s a construction site. There are professionals with heavy equipment wearing hardhats doing their jobs, and outsiders are basically a hazard. (Except for Carl and Nancy. They had permission.)
