Spring Awakening is based on a scandalous German play from 1891 about sexual awakening and self-discovery. In the 2006 Broadway show it was turned into an alt-rock musical with a folk-infused rock score. IT WON 8 TONY AWARDS including BEST MUSICAL! Be prepared, Spring Awakening packs a powerful emotional punch! Mature themes. Parental guidance suggested.

Performances
Single tickets for Musicals are $35. Seniors and Students save 10%. Performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm. Additionally, there is one Special Performance per production on a Thursday Evening for the discounted price of $15 per ticket. Seating is General Admission. Doors open 30 minutes prior to show time. Aero is immensely honored to be performing in Spring Awakening as Moritz, their first male role! Previous credits include Lydia Bennet/Miss de Bourgh in Pride and Prejudice, Bad Idea Bear/Mrs. T in Avenue Q (Plethos Productions), Everybody in Everybody and I in their original play Unmasked (Saint Mary’s College). They would like to thank their supportive family and friends as well as their talented castmates and creative team for always believing in them. To anyone struggling with mental health or self-destructive thoughts, you are not alone and you’re incredibly loved. Lastly, enjoy the show!

Arup is thrilled to be back at Masquers for Spring Awakening! His previous credits include Spamalot (Novato Theater Company), The People vs. Mona (Masquers), Shakespeare in Love (NTC), The Rocky Horror Show (Marin Musical Theatre Company), and RENT (MMTC). Offstage, Arup is a recovering tech bro, and he would like to thank his family and his extended Yak family for all their love and support.

Ash is an interdisicplinary artist based on the unceded land of the Lisjan, Ohlone people, also as know as Oakland, CA. They would like to thank you for attending this production of Spring Awakening! Before taking a hiatus from performing to complete cosmetology licensure, Ash was seen working with Towne Hall Theatre Company in Cinderella: A Fairytale (dir. Seqouia Schirmir) as the Prince and Antigone, presented by the girls of St. Catherine’s (dir. Claire Ganem) as Tamsin. He also has credits with City Lights Theater Company in Coded (dir. Kirsten Brandt) as Minerva, as well as Cutting Ball Theater’s Variety Pack premiering Cyclops 2018 (dir. Erik Pearson) as Odysseus. Free Palestine.

CJ Molloy is incredibly grateful to be part of Spring Awakening with Masquers Playhouse. Previous shows include Into the Woods, Once on This Island, and most recently performing as William Barfee in …Spelling Bee with CCMT. This stellar cast has been a far cry from his limewire CD on repeat in the mid-2000s, and has been an absolute blast. CJ would like to thank their twin Carleena, and wife Aly for the constant encouragement, jokes, and endless amounts of love.

Jane worked in New York for many years in shows such as Man of La Mancha with John Raitt, Into the Woods (Baker’s Wife) and Off Broadway in Company (Joanne) among others. Bay Area: A Little Night Music at Sacramento Civic Light Opera, Tune the Grand Up at the Alcazar Theater with the great Jerry Herman, and in Sweeney Todd as The Beggar Woman at Novato Theater Co. Most recently: Cinderella’s Stepmother in Mountain Play’s Into the Woods and Alice in Novato Theater’s The Addams Family. Thanks for coming to the theater!

Max is excited for you to see the show! He is a CSUEB graduate and has performed in plays like “Picasso at Lapin Agile” (Picasso) as well as musicals like “Bright Star” (Ensemble) and “Beauty and the Beast” (Beast). Max also does writing/directing. He recently directed a full stage play production of “Yellow Face” at Chanticleers as well as writing an original stage play, “Dirty in Emotion (D.I.E)”, with a featured staged reading at Plethos. He’d like to thank his friends, family, YF cast/crew, the D.I.E cast/crew, and the “Saucy Boys” for coming to the show!

From Redwood City, Michael is thrilled to make his East Bay debut with Masquers Playhouse. Since a young age, he has loved all things performing. Michael was a part of Ragazzi Boys Chorus, along with doing every theater production he could get his hands on. Highlights of his theater career include playing Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, Prince Herbert in SPAMALOT, and being a part of the Primary Trio in The Polar Express. His background in classical music has led him to work with San Francisco Opera and San Jose Opera. While not doing theater, Michael writes and produces his own music. His instagram is @msaccostage. Natalie teaches Middle and High School in Richmond as an Education Specialist. When she is not acting or teaching, she is taking classes in a master's program to become a Speech and Language Pathologist. Her past favorite shows include: Romeo and Juliet (Juliet), 12 Angry Jurors (Juror #8), and Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Germaine). You can also see her in the upcoming production of Clybourne Park at Masquers Playhouse where she will be portraying Betsy/Lindsey. She would like to share a special thank you to the cast of Spring Awakening. Natalie has not performed in a musical for 6 years, and she couldn't have asked for a better group of people to help her step outside of her comfort zone. As always, thank you to her family, Jamari, and of course, her very important cats, Eurydice and Aristotle, for all their love and support.

Thomas has appeared in several films, television, and theater productions. Some credits include Protection Detail as Manny (Wild Dogs Productions), Is He? as Jamie (Black Iris Productions), on stage at UC Berkeley’s production of Pool of Unknown Wonders as Hamsun and Pride and Prejudice as Mr. Collins (Plethos Productions). Thomas has been recognized with highest honors in theater arts from University of California, Berkeley upon graduating with a B.A in theater arts and performance studies in 2023.
